Techy Tip Thursday - Start Loving Haiku Deck

I am a big Haiku Deck fan, and share about whenever I can! I wore my Haiku Deck t-shirt to school today and had students and teachers asking where I got it, and how they could get one! I was so excited to share about it with out teachers after school today.

Well, the best laid plans for a Haiku Deck Session didn't happen today ... My husband is still at work and my beagle had to see the vet, so no Haiku Deck session. : (   Bonus - the cone of shame is gone and his eye is doing better! Hooray!

However, I figured I could share all I wanted to here anyway. So, here goes ...

Haiku Deck is available on your iPad, iPhone and on the web. Check out this deck I made sharing some of the great things you and your students can do with it.

Created with Haiku Deck, the free presentation app

Here are a few tips to get you started creating on an iPad.

When creating a Haiku Deck you can ...

From the main screen of the app you can edit a few features in settings.
Sometimes for a student project, it is especially helpful to be able to turn off auto-capitalization. Do that from the Settings wheel.

There is also a handy Help feature.

Some handy directions for using your iPhone as a remote are included too!

As you're playing with Haiku Deck be sure to check out the awesome themes, and notice that each one has it's own image filter that gives each slide an ambiance to go with the text theme.

The web app is just as simple and amazing. All you need to create on either is a free account. I have an account set up for the First Graders on my campus. We all use the same one so that students don't have to sign up since they are too young.

I hope that you will think Haiku Deck is as awesome as I do, and be inspired to create awesome presentations. Be sure to follow Haiku Deck on Twitter too!
