Using the iPad Timer ... duh!

In my classroom I try to incorporate as many iPad projects, utilizing higher level thinking skills, as I can.

With that said ...

There are some times when playing a learning game like Counting Dots, or a fun game like Egg A Sketch, is just, well, necessary!

Most of the time when my students play games like this it's during a literacy station or a math station time, especially on Free Workboard Friday, they have to share or take turns.

I currently have 4 iPads for my students to share in the classroom. Last year, on occasion, I would set a timer, the students would play and then they would switch. This inevitably lead to tons of arguments. Someone would have moved on before my timer went off, someone thought it was someone else's turn, ect.

So - next year I want them to use the timer ON THIER iPad! Why didn't I think of that before?! They can use it to track their time on a project, take turns, or anything else you need a timer for.

Here's a direction sheet that you can use with you students. Click the picture to download it from my TPT store.

Hope this helps your classroom run a little more smoothly! I'm looking forward to it!
