Subitising with ThingLink

ThingLink is an awesome website & app that will make images interactive.

The educational possibilities are awesome!

For this ThingLink I used a set of ten frame mats I made for the background image. Then I used Doodle Buddy to make the subitising pictures, and uploaded them to my Flickr account.

ThingLink.com lets you add nubbins (the little interactive dots / icons) with any link, or simple text. This means you can add a link to any video, picture, sound clip, ect. There are so many possibilities!
The ThingLink app only lets you add video or text nubbins, so you need to choose the device you create it on according to the type of nubbins you would like to include.

I'll be using this ThingLink with my first grade mathematicians at the beginning of this year. As a quick warm up, I'll have students take turns hovering over the nubbins, quickly subitising, and sharing our thinking.

I'm back at school today & so excited to be setting up our iPads for the new school year!  Enjoy your day!
