The Carve-A-Pumpkin app (free from Parents Magazine) is a great, add free, way to have a some good clean fun with carving pumpkins! I am very excited to introduce this app to my class this week. They will be using their creations in a variety of different ways in the next few weeks.
To build a pumpkin, choose the one you want. Then draw your own features, or add some from the app. You get to choose a background, and then can easily save it to your camera roll for use in other projects.
For our first project - I'm going to have them create a pumpkin, then do a bit of app smashing! I want them to use their Jack-O-Lantern as a postcard image in Bill Atkinson's PhotoCard to write about some of the pumpkin facts we have been learning.
I think they are going to be really excited!
What would you have your students do with the Jack-O-Lantern they create?
I would love for you to Pin my posts! I need to add a permission to pin button to my blog! I am happy for people to see what I'm sharing! That's why I do it!
